Weekly Features

Spread More Love Emote - PLZ

Every week, I feature a new fan fiction story on my profile page. Drop by and check them out! :D

Echoes - Resident EvilPiers had no regrets as he watched Chris punch and pound at the glass separating them. He had a single goal when he injected himself and that was to get Chris out alive. Chris was the real hero in all this, after all. He had been fighting for much longer than Piers and Chris deserved to see his own true potential. Piers may have been good but Chris Redfield was irreplaceable as Captain and Piers knew that.
The B.S.A.A needed Chris. Hell, the world needed Chris and Piers would be damned if he didn't get him out alive. One of them had to survive and Piers was long lost from the moment that needle pierced his skin, even if Chris didn't see it—but Chris was too much of a hero to see it.
Chris Redfield never gave up. He was optimistic, borderline in denial, but it was enough to keep Piers fighting for his life just to get Chris to safety. All he needed to do was get him into that little pod and everything would be okay, that is all that mattered.
"Piers! No, don't do this!"
Oh but he had to
Being HumanHe had long since gotten over his fears of wormholes and raining Viking Gods from the sky. He had even managed his crippling dependence on his suits. His suits… Yes, he tinkered still, but it was nothing like he had once done, but his lack of tinker-time was not what made him wake out of a restless sleep. Dreams of ripped apart time and space were not what pushed him into screaming fits during the night. No, none of that was the case, though it would be reasonable to assume so.
What he feared most was the woman that lay next to him every night. Sometimes she would wake up when he did, but recently she had resigned herself to sleeping through his nightly fits. There was nothing she could do to stop it, he knew that. He also liked to think of himself as a completely independent man, but as he got up for the fifteenth time that night, he began to envy Pepper's ability to sleep throughout the night.
How could she not worry? In his single life, he had, had hardly any fear. He could r

1. Sleeves and Snowflakes
A passing stranger might have thought a riot was taking place at the high school.  Shouts rang out, lockers banged, engines revved, doors slammed, feet stomped, books fell, shrieks of laughter, insults, whoops and hollers issuing into the cold winter afternoon light, until it seemed the snow would be shaken from the treetops in a minor avalanche.
And some of the racket was even coming from the students.
"Halle-frickin'-lujah, we're free!" Jodie March said as she and Lisa Fox put on their wraps.  "So at what exotic locale will you be spending your Christmas holidays, girlfriend?  Aruba, Jamaica, or..."
"Miami Beach," Lisa said as she bundled herself into her warm, expensive-looking furry coat, pulling up the hood over her silver-blonde hair, with just a glance at Jo's shabby plaid  jacket which she was attempting to zip.

Holiday Card Project 2013
It's back!  With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out to patients.
The idea behind the Holiday Card Project is simple: do something nice for others. However, if you're looking for even more incentive, every deviant who submits a card will be given a free one-month Premium Membership to deviant

Contests

:blueribbon:

Literary Contest 3 (Fanfiction Challenge)Hello everyone it time for another contest.  This is a fanfiction contest.  Showcasing three specific fandoms:  Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragonball,  and Naruto.  There will be three different plots for each of the fandoms.  Some are probably wondering why a fanfiction contest and not one of my Original fiction contest.  Because I am planning a bigger contest for the new year's and the prize will be a lot bigger than previous contest.     So I suppose you can think of this as a mini contest.  Anyway, here are the plots.
*There is no word limit this time but, the story needs to be complete.  Use common sense 500 words will not be enough for these plots to make sense.
Plots with and asterisk by them qualify you for an art trade from imaginary-rose
Here is a link to that Art for Literature Trade

Discuss!

You talk too much!

Last month, I asked, "In your home town, the forces of good and evil (be it superheroes, giant robots, or whatever) are waging a climatic, determine-the-fate-of-the-world battle. As you watch, a key artifact that grants untold power to whoever holds it lands at your feet. Whoever controls that device will win the battle. The fate of the world is at your feet. What do you do? :omfg: *Cue dramatic music*" Here are your replies:

  • DecepticonFlamewar says, "I would panic, plain and simple. And I'd like to say that I'd immediately use it to stop the fighting as bloodlessly as possible, but I'd probably go all Light Yagami with it. I don't have a very high opinion of myself."
  • hypermagical says, "I would give it to the person most likely to understand how it works. XD Lame."
  • Kyndsie says, "... ummm... I think I'd panic for a couple of minutes, then, ummm... Confused  GREAT QUESTION!"
  • neurotype-on-discord says, "Blow the armies to smithereens and go for ice cream. :eager: by darkmoon3636"
  • As for me: "I'd like to think I'd pick up the device and use it to help the forces of good and/or the side of light. Do the whole 'hero thing.' But realistically, I'd probably grab it and pass if off on the first good guy I could find. That much power would be tempting, though."

New New discussion topic!

Do series' writers/creators have any obligation to their fans to tell their story as the fans want or expect? I've heard of several cases of fan outrage because a series (whether TV, book, game, etc.) didn't end the way fans wanted. Many fans decry the writers'/creators' storytelling ability when this happens. Should the writers/creators keep their audience in mind when they tell their stories, or tell they story they want, regardless of how their fans react to it?

Star!  Have any news, groups or contests you want me to feature? Comment below and I'll include it next month! :boogie:

If you already have the whole thing planned out then no. Because I don't like some book endings, doesn't mean there not good.
